If you want to build an audience for your book, it’s important to get your voice “out there” through a consistent blogging presence. My sites include a variety of blogging options to make it easy for you to publish your latest thoughts and share them with the world.

I’ll build your blog for you, and help you get started by posting a few to the site so it isn’t blank when you go live. Then, I’ll teach you how to keep it updated as you write new blogs! It’s very easy, and I’ll create a template to help you do it with the push of a button:

  • Replace sample blog text with your new blog copy

  • Decide what category and whether you want to feature it on your homepage
Event Calendar
Some authors schedule events when their book is published, and others provide services related to their books, like coaching or teaching workshops.

Our sites offer an event calendar function that allows you to list all your book events, workshops, or speaking gigs on your website. I’ll get you started by listing any events you have scheduled.

Once the site is finished, the event calendar is easy to update yourself, and I will teach you how!

If you’re fairly confident in your online abilities, you can purchase our author website template. We will give you two 1-hour lessons to get you started, and then you upload your own content to personalize the website.

Choose Your URL

You’ll need a domain and a hosting service for your site. We can point you in the right direction for how to get these set up if you don’t have them already.

Upload the Template

We’ll facilitate the process of loading the author website template onto your domain (www.you.com). The site comes with all the features of an optimized author website (see below). You just need to add pictures, copy, and your personalized aesthetic twist.

Learn How To Build It

Once we’ve uploaded the template to your site, we’ll have a 1-hour Skype session where we take you step-by-step through the process of using your site. By the end, you’ll have a strong understanding of how to update it, and we’ll point you in the direction of resources for future support and learning.

Author Your Website is the author-website division of Launch My Book, Inc. Founded in 2013 by Joel Pitney, Launch My Book started as a service to support authors grow their platform in preparation for book launch has expanded into a full-service, boutique marketing shop. In 2016, Joel’s business partner and wife, Laura Pitney, joined the team after a long career in fundraising.
